On the 26th of January thousands of entrepreneurs will gather at Landmark Event Centre in Lagos Nigeria for one event – TechPoint Build to converse about the current happenings in the innovation & business sector in Africa. As Africa advances rapidly as an economic powerhouse it is necessary that we document our progress, telling our own stories.
This is why TechPoint Africa was created. Its creed ingrained in the name TechPoint, is that the narratives of these successes all converge at a target point where everyone can access every information about technology & startups in Africa.

Even startups that were not selected at TechPoint Build Pitch storm have still gone to become success stories afterwards. In fact standing on the premise of one of the startups occupying TechPoint stage portrays your startup as one projected for greatness.
SmartTeller: when Oluwole CEO of SmartTeller pitched at Tech Point Build 2018, he had no idea that his startup will eventually go on to emerge winner at TechChallenge Ogun State nor that it would become the major provider of financial services for 10,000 unbanked Nigerians.
GeroCare: GeroCare was one of the startups that nearly made it falling short by just one place in 2018. Although they did not win they were able to put up their idea out there. Perhaps the pitch desk at Start Up build prepared them for opportunities to come as they went ahead to win first place at the NES24 Start Up Pitching event in October 2018.
Pitch Storm 2019: Pitch storm is an opportunity for early-stage startups to present their ideas to investors and stand a chance to win $10,000 free of equity. These startups will intrigue you in a rapid fire pitch session to compete for a star price of $10,000.
